Hardware and operation

 Argus conducts prelay survey, route clearance and postlay cable burial verification. In addition Argus has built and operates the cableguider (CapTrack built 2005) and workclass ROV onboard Nexans' cablelaying vessel Skagerrak. The cableguider enables presision laying of the cable while monitoring tension and touchdown real time. Presion laying ensures an optimal positioning of the cable and can increase laying speed significantly, especially on a seafloor with abundant obstacles. Argus personnel have also assisted in numerous cable pull-ins.
