Argus Announces Contract with Mermaid Subsea Services

Argus Remote Systems selected by Mermaid Subsea Services for delivery of four electric Argus Worker Compact WROVs.

We are proud to share that Mermaid Subsea Services, a subsidiary of Mermaid Maritime Public Company Limited, has selected Argus Remote Systems for the delivery of four Argus Worker Compact Electric Work Class ROVs (WROVs).

This award represents a significant step in Mermaid’s fleet modernisation strategy, focused on enhancing subsea performance, operational flexibility, and environmental responsibility.

The Argus Worker C was selected for its proven track record, compact footprint, and outstanding power-to-size ratio, delivering 130HP of thrust, a depth rating of 1000 metres, and robust capability across IMR, decommissioning, cable installation, and light construction scopes.

Each system will be supplied with the Argus Poseidon control platform, top hat Tether Management Systems (TMS), and is designed for remote operational capability via SAT communications, depending on project requirements. The complete spreads will be delivered in DNV certified control and workshop containers, with Hydramec Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) completing the package.

Deployment of all four systems is scheduled for Q3 2025, supporting Mermaid Subsea’s operations across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and beyond.
