Operations at depths beyond several thousand meters place extreme demands on remotely operated vehicles.

Ultra-Deep Water

These environments are characterised by high pressure, low temperatures, and limited visibility, requiring systems that are both mechanically robust and electronically reliable over extended periods.

Argus has developed and delivered multiple ultra-deep water ROV systems tailored for such conditions. To date, nine systems rated to 6000 meters and one system rated to 7000 meters have been built and deployed. These vehicles are used in a range of applications including scientific research, rare earth investigations, seabed minerals exploration, cargo recovery, and general subsea inspection.

The design of our ultra-deep water ROVs emphasizes structural integrity, efficient power management, and modularity to support long-duration missions. System configurations can be adapted to specific operational needs, including integration with specialised sensors, manipulators, and tooling packages.
